North Pole Expedition
Marshall plans to join a run and trek from Ward Hunt Island to the top of the Earth, the North Pole. The goal will be to cover approximately 22 miles (35 kms) per day.
Why would these Marshall join an attempt to cover over 366 miles (750 kms) on foot over chunks of ice the size of cars, extreme cod, constant winds and polar bears? To bring awareness and funding to find and provide solutions to the environmental and social impact of climate change; to educate youth about our changing climate through the creation of a unique learning resource.
Amazon October 2010
In October 2010 Marshall will join Ray Zahab on Ray's i2P Amazon expedition. Marshall has been a part of i2P expeditions to the Baffin Island and the Sahara desert in Tunisia, helping to guide i2P Youth Ambassadors as they share experiences of a lifetime with classrooms around the world.
All i2P expeditions include educational resources which students and classrooms around the globe can download. Young people from around the world participate in learning and gaining an appreciation of various cultures, places, and environmental issues. On selected trips, Youth Ambassadors join the expeditions, keeping in direct contact with students around the world, then return to their schools to mentor peer to peer by speaking of their expedition, prepared to lead the way to a positive tomorrow.
impossible2Possible (i2P) strongly supports a philosophy that we are all capable of achieving what we may feel is impossible. Each of these "impossible" adventures will test the youth explorers and adventurers to their limits. Whether they will be trekking across Baffin Island or navigating a remote Jungle or even crossing a faraway desert, the team must work together to achieve their goal.
