Landmark on Highway 50, So Long

Right after the new year, vandals destroyed something of mine, at least it felt like mine. It really belonged to everyone who’d ever seen it, a bit of Americana along Highway 50 outside Middlegate, NV. Mount Eiger, Matterhorn, Mont Blanc: Alps Trilogy

Running for a Day, for a Month, for a Lifetime

Throughout May, Dick’s Sporting Goods has been promoting National Runners’ Month, offering special deals in its stores, sponsoring running events, and donating more than $25,000 to Action for Healthy Kids to help end childhood obesity. They’ve also had Kara Goucher, Ryan Hall, and Dean Karnazes out on the road as “ambassadors” to help promote an active lifestyle. Continue reading
